Google finally fixed these 3 annoying problems on your Pixel

It’s that time of the month again, which means Google has started to roll out the monthly software update for Pixel devices. This update mostly focuses on some big bug fixes, including a few major ones that might have been impacting how you use your phone over the past few weeks.

One of the biggest fixes being pushed out with the April Pixel update notes is a bug fix for an issue that causes certain banking and third-party applications to crash. The issue only popped up during certain conditions, which Google hasn’t elaborated on, and appears to have affected all Pixel devices from the Pixel 6 and up. Considering how important online banking is for many of us, this fix is one that Pixel owners who have had to deal with it are definitely going to be happy to see taken care of.

Another big problem that was introduced in past updates was a bug that causes the quick search bar to sometimes go missing from the Pixel’s home screen. This happened randomly and appears to have affected all Pixel devices from the Pixel 6 and onward. The quick search bar is easily one of the best ways to look for apps and other content on your phone and the web. And while there are better universal search apps out there, sometimes it is hard to beat what is already installed on your phone. Hopefully, you shouldn’t see the issue popping up anymore after you install the newest Pixel update to your device.

Quick Share is such a useful tool on Android, and Google has only made it even more useful by giving Pixels the ability to Airdrop photos and videos to iPhone, too. But, according to Google’s April update notes, some devices like the Pixel 9 lineup and Pixel 10 lineup have been experiencing an intermittent issue with Quick Share crashing during file transfers.

Like most of the other issues listed in the April Pixel Update, the problem only occurs during certain unnamed conditions. However, installing the latest Pixel software should mitigate it completely.

Google’s flagship smartphone, the Google Pixel 10 features the Tensor G5 processor, an outstanding triple-camera system, and seven years of software updates. This is a phone you can rely on for years to come.

There were also some other bug fixes listed in the update notes, including a fix for some video games crashing, as well as an issue that caused the Backup menu to not appear within the System settings. Again, Google didn’t name the conditions that had to be met for these issues to pop up, but the latest update should resolve them. As with most Google pushes, the April Pixel update is rolling out to devices and should hopefully be available to download on your smartphone soon.
